Cachette is a short experimental film combining live-action performance with stop-motion animation, following ghost-like travellers moving between different times and places.

I developed the costumes for the live-action scenes, working across several distinct periods and visual worlds. The costumes included 1940s Vichy France, where I sourced a historically accurate French police uniform for a scene involving the persecution of a member of the Resistance, and 1980s New York, with period streetwear for the characters.

For the two time-travelling ghosts, I created a deliberately timeless wardrobe drawing on 20th-century clothing rather than belonging to a specific period. Their costumes were designed to suggest characters existing outside of time while remaining grounded in the human world.

Working within a short production period and a limited budget, I sourced the costumes independently, prepared alternative options and made on-set adjustments to ensure the looks worked for each performer.
